Cara Champions

From our earliest days, when William Beveridge established a founding council which included luminaries such as John Maynard Keynes, Margery Fry and A E Housman, to the present, Cara has depended on a wide range of committed individuals to act as champions for our cause.

Many university staff members and managers, as well as many people with no direct affiliation to academia, give generous support to Cara and its Fellows. They offer their humanity, their generosity and the vital practical support that allows Cara to continue its work today. Some even open their homes to our Fellows.
