Syria Programme Collaboration: Syrian Food Futures reports now available

Nov 23 2022

The Syrian Food Futures project aimed to strengthen partnerships between researchers, practitioners and decision-makers in the UK, Syria and countries receiving academics in exile (primarily Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan) so that local cultural and technical expertise can be incorporated into future Syrian socio-economic development and reconstruction programmes.

This project aimed to strengthen partnerships between UK researchers at the universities of Edinburgh, Kent and Aberdeen, and Syrian academics affiliated with the Cara (Council for At-Risk Academics) Syria
Programme (SP) who are living in Syria and in exile in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.

The projects approach was informed and grounded by foundation research led by these Syrian academics who are from the arts and humanities and agriculture and food-security networks within the SP.
